TwitBookClub takes the traditional book club to the next level. We are all about what YOU want to read as an individual. Our aim is to help you rekindle your love for all things reading and the reading experience. We’re here to fuel healthy, fun book discussion and to help you discover your next favorite book, genre or author.
When it comes to reading, TwitBookClub will help you decide what’s worth your time and what’s best left alone. We’re not here to force you to read books you don’t want to, we’re here to help you rekindle your love of reading and keep it alive. Regardless of our monthly selections, the choice of what to read is entirely up to each individual. If nothing on the list tickles your fancy, talk about a book you’d like to read, have read or are currently reading. We don’t always discuss just the recent bestsellers; we read and discuss a variety of genres both fiction and non-fiction as long as the books are in English. In addition, from time to time we also have authors joining us for a Q&A session about one of their books.
Established December 14, 2009 TwitBookClub is a UAE-based bookworm community that meets on a monthly basis. We also live tweet our meetings, so those who can’t make it in person are able to follow along and join our discussions via Twitter (@TwitBookClub) or catch up with things later.
Joining TwitBookClub is easy: all you have to do is one of these things: show up to one of our monthly meetings, follow us on Twitter & tweet your comments to us or drop us an e-mail. (You don’t necessarily have to do all three.) That’s it, there’s no paperwork, membership fees or other requirements to fulfil. It doesn’t matter whether you’ve read any of our current selections or not. At the very least you’ll walk away from every meeting knowing about at least a couple more books than you did before you came in.
